The charm of Charleston is undeniable. From its pastel colored houses to its upscale southern cuisine and friendly people, everything about it is charming. Being from the north, there was a comical difference between southern culture and the lean mean streets of New York that I am used to. Beyond its charm, Charleston is a city full of rich, complicated history. After all, the first shot of The Civil War was fired at Ft. Sumter in Charleston.
See the mansions on Battery Lane, Rainbow Row and Folly Beach. Taste fried chicken, bourbon and lemonade. Touch an Angel Oak Tree and pretty little Main Street tings. Hear ya’ll, cathedral bells and echoes from the past. Think southern charm and low country.
